PRC Observes 15th Development Policy Research Month

Manila, September 22, 2017 – The Professional Regulation Commission joins the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) in the observance of the 15th Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) with the theme “Pagpapatibay ng Desentralisasyon Tungo sa Kaunlarang Panrehiyon” for this month of September pursuant to Malacañang Proclamation No 247, dated September 2, 2002.

The month - long celebration focuses on the discourse on Federalism highlighting the need for in-depth reflections and analyses not just purely on federalism but encompassing the bigger umbrella and decentralization reforms. It also emphasizes to policymakers the importance of critical thinking and the formulation of appropriate policy interventions to advance development in the regions.
