The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) joins the nation in the observance of the Protection and Gender-Fair Treatment of the Girl Child Week also known as “Girl Child Week” every 4^th week of March under Proclamation No. 756, s. 1996, with the theme “Walang Puwang sa Lipunan ang Karahasan: Labanan ang Pang-aabuso at Eksploytasyon sa Batang Babae, Online at Offline (Violence Belongs Nowhere in Society: Stand Against the Abuse and Exploitation of Young Girls, Both Online and Offline)”.

This week-long celebration spearheaded by the Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) focuses on gender-based violence (GBV), exploitation, and abuse – both online and offline –  to enhance understanding, promote, and engage children and adults on how to access help  and support victim-survivors and strengthen protection.
