Tacloban City, November 25, 2016 - The Professional Regulation Commission Tacloban Regional Office, thru OIC Director Narcival Randie Z. Taquiqui, has turned over to the City Division’s Office of the Department of Education (DepEd) Region 8, boxes containing pencils, ballpens, erasers, sharpeners, rulers, plastic envelopes, calculators, paste/glue and other school supplies in support of their Project: “One Million Pencils” for the benefit of public schools students and teachers from far-flung and depressed areas in Region 8.

Mr. Norberto O. Erandio, Senior Education Program Specialist for Social Mobilization and Networking, Mr. Aaron Benedict Y. Chi, EPS II and Mr. Ma. John Rey D. Rosales, Records Officer represented the DepEd during the turn over.

The school supplies were donations from the examinees who took the licensure examinations in Tacloban City, in support of the Commission’s “PRC Gift To Future Professionals” project.

The PRC Tacloban Regional Office, in a way, through this initiative, is assisting and providing public school children who lack the material requirements in their pursuit of basic education.

The Commission, thru PRC Region VIII expresses its heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the examinees for their acts of generosity in supporting the program.
