President Aquino appoints the first members of the Professional Regulatory Board of Respiratory Therapy

The Professional Regulation Commission announces the appointment made by His Excellency, President Benigno S. Aquino III of the first members of the Professional Regulatory Board of Respiratory Therapy in an announcement made by Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte on May 4, 2012.

The newly appointed members of the board include: JULITA V. TOLEDO, as Chairperson of the Board of Respiratory Therapy for a term of three years, SENEN O. TEOPE, for a term of two years, and JESUS M. ESPINAS, for a term of one year.

R.A. 10024, otherwise known as the "Philippine Respiratory Therapy Act" recognizes the importance of respiratory therapists in nation-building. Hence, it shall develop and nurture competent, virtuous, productive and well rounded respiratory therapists whose standards of practice and service shall be excellent, qualitative, world-class and globally competitive through inviolable, honest, effective and credible licensure examinations and through regulatory measures, programs and activities that foster their professional growth, the law read.
